How to sublimate Heart rock slate photo frame 19.5 x 19.5 cm?
Sublimation times and temperatures are for reference only and may vary depending on the press, paper, inks, or environment. It is recommended to run tests before production.
Method 1: photo frame with the white side facing UP
This method requires the use of a silicone sheet.
- Print your design in mirror mode.
- It is recommended to let the paper dry for about 5 minutes.
- Preheat the press to 200ºC.
- Place the printed paper correctly on the photo frame, then place them in the press with the white side facing up.
- Place a silicone sheet or heat-conductive product over the paper to ensure even heat distribution.
- Close the press and apply pressure on the photo frame for approximately 360 seconds.
- After the time has passed, using gloves, remove the photo frame from the press and peel off the sublimation paper.
- Allow the photo frame to cool down for a few minutes.
Method 2: photo frame with the white side facing DOWN
- Print your design in mirror mode.
- It is recommended to let the paper dry for about 5 minutes.
- Preheat the press to 200ºC.
- Place the printed paper correctly on the photo frame, then place them in the press with the white side facing down.
- Close the press and apply pressure on the photo frame for approximately 500 seconds.
- After the time has passed, using gloves, remove the photo frame from the press and peel off the sublimation paper.
- Allow the photo frame to cool down for a few minutes.

Issues with Lighter Areas After Sublimation
After sublimation, you may notice lighter areas on the surface of the slate photo frame. This is common due to the natural irregularities of the material. For better results, it is recommended to place a silicone sheet between the heat press and the paper. This helps the paper adapt to the small imperfections of the product. Additionally, performing a preliminary press with a full cycle and the silicone sheet ensures the surface reaches an optimal temperature for even sublimation.
Dull Colors or Lack of Definition
If the colors or sharpness of the image are not as vibrant as expected, it may be due to insufficient time or pressure. To correct this, we suggest increasing the pressing time by 30 to 60 seconds in the next cycle. Also, make sure to apply medium to high pressure during the sublimation process to achieve sharper and more vivid results.
