Firmware updates ensure your Cricut Mug Press has the latest and greatest enhanced features.

What do you need

• Cricut Mug Press
• USB cable (included in the box*)
• Compatible Windows/Mac computer with USB type A port
• Software Design Space

Update

1. Activate Connect mode on your Cricut Mug Press.
   • Plug in the power cord
   • Press and hold the power button until Connect mode activates (>5 seconds). When the press is in Connect mode, the power button will blink orange.
   • Plug in the USB cable.
2. Open Design Space on a compatible computer (Windows or Mac).
3. Sign in with your Cricut ID and password.
4. Select Design Space menu > Set Up New Machine > Heat Press > Cricut Mug Press.
5. Follow the prompts on the screen to connect your Cricut Mug Press.
6. The software will take a few seconds to detect the new press, once it is detected, you can start the firmware update. The progress bar will tell you where the update is at.
7. When the update is complete, the power button will flash orange. Disconnect the USB cable from the press. It will turn off. Turn it on to start using it.

Problem solving

- My USB cable was disconnected during the firmware update or there was some interruption during the firmware update.

No problem. Just restart the process. You can access it through the Design Space > New Machine Settings > Heat Press > Cricut Mug Press menu.

- I lost the USB cable that came in the box with my Cricut mug press. Can I use a different cable?

Yes. You can use any type A micro-USB cable that is capable of transferring data.
