How to sublimate Magic mugs?
Sublimation times and temperatures are for reference only and may vary depending on the press, paper, inks, or environment. It is recommended to run tests before production.
- 1.- Print the design in mirror mode.
- 2.- It is advisable to let the paper dry for about 5 minutes.
- 3.- Preheat the press to around 185ºC.
- 4.- Place the printed paper correctly onto the mug and secure it with heat-resistant tape. Then, place it in the press with a resistance of 11 oz.
- 5.- Close the press and apply pressure to the mug. Leave it for between 180 and 300 seconds (depending on the press).
- 6.- After that time, using protective gloves, remove the mug from the press and peel off the paper.
- 7.- Let the mug cool down for a few minutes.

Customization solutions for Magic Mugs
I have printed an image with solid colors and gradients appear.
Printing solid colors is one of the most difficult tasks, and they are also sensitive to any irregularities on the mug surface. A possible solution is to use a silicone sheet, which helps adapt to these irregularities and achieve a more uniform print. This silicone sheet works especially well with mugs with spoons, beer mugs, etc.
The print on the sides shows gradients.
First, make sure that when folding the paper at the top, it has not left a small gap that could have caused the gradient. Another possible reason is that the heating element being used is too old and should be replaced. It is important to remember that a heating element has an approximate lifespan of 600 mugs. If the issue is not resolved with these two methods, it is advisable to trim the image on the sides.
The print on the mug has white dots or lines.
These small marks occur because dust particles have remained between the mug surface and the paper. It is important to thoroughly clean both the heat press and the mug surface before sublimation.
The coating of the mug lifts or partially peels off.
In some cases, the coating of the mug may become damaged or peel off. This usually happens when the mug is handled while still hot, for example when removing the sublimation paper, peeling off tape or scratching the surface with a fingernail or another object while it is still at a high temperature.
Solution: It is essential to allow the mug to cool naturally after the sublimation process. Do not remove the paper or handle the surface until it is completely cool. This ensures that the coating stabilizes properly and prevents damage to the final finish.

Hice un pedido de varias tazas mate y queda muy bien la sublimación con la ayuda de los consejos de impresión del producto. En frío la imagen no se transparenta en absoluto.
